Stowe Pinnacle, one of Stowe’s most popular hikes, is truly magnificent at sunset.

But you don’t have to take it from us, this one-minute video from team member Grant will surely prove our point.

Offering a gentle 3+/- mile climb, its close proximity to Stowe Village and some of the best views around, it is not uncommon to find hikers, locals and tourists alike out on the Stowe Pinnacle throughout all times of day. With its unobstructed 360 degree views from Camels Hump, over the Waterbury Reservoir to Mt. Mansfield with Stowe Mountain Resort, and along the Worcester Mountain Range, it is quite the destination for those looking to reap the full benefits of a much larger summit, without the commitment of a day long excursion.

It is also a fantastic hike for pre or post office hours, as the 1.5 hour round trip hike (for those who are fit and looking for a challenge). It is not uncommon to see locals up, practicing their morning yoga with a view before checking into work, or in the case with Grant, his fiancee and their dogs, a short hike after work with a few drinks to watch the sun go down (Note, he always bring a headlights, layers and first-aid kits for night treks!).

So bring your kids, your dogs and your snacks and come enjoy one of Stowe’s, or perhaps Vermont’s most scenic and gratifying hikes.
